Historic contemporary cottage oozing style with the sandstone trail and two castles on the doorstep

This unique house has a style all its own, the 17th century cottage has been completely refurbished to a very high standard but still pays homage to its history and roots.

Once the smithy where horsemen stopped to have their horses attended to, this black and white gem now oozes style and comfort.

Set within walking distance of both Peckforton & Beeston Castles it is surrounded by beautiful walks and has a large sunny south facing walled garden which is completely private and secure.

Smithy Cottage offers a fully equiped kitchen, larder and downstairs cloakroom.
A dedicated dining room, for up to 8 people and a comfortable stylish sitting room with log burner.
Upstairs the master bedroom with vaulted ceiling features a vi spring king size bed.
There is a further double bedroom with views of Beeston castle and a pretty bedroom with full size bunk beds.
The stunning main bathroom has a free standing bath, with separate walk in shower, a surface mounted sink with views over the garden all panelled and finished with a hand printed wall paper.

Beams and original features abound combining with modern comforts but the rooms are bright and light filled.
High speed fibre is available at the Smithy.

Outside there is a private walled south facing garden with mature trees and a large sunny paved terrace for dining .
There is also a fully secure cycle shed to leave bikes after cycling on some of Cheshires amazing cycle routes .
Private parking on site

Smithy cottage is well equipped for self catering with many cooking and baking utensils, electric range , microwave, toaster, under counter fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
To minimise the provisions we provide tea, , coffee ( Tassimo pods are provided to get you started )and cafetière if you want to bring ground coffee), black pepper and rock salt in proper mills. You will also find, dustbin liners and all washing up equipment, including dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods for the first few days. The wood burner is also set ready to go .

If you want to eat out there are plenty of places locally, many of them listed in the file at the cottage – please do ask me if you want any details in advance. The surrounding area has all the major supermarkets (Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda ) so if you want to arrange an online delivery let us know

We also provide loo roll, all towels, tea towels, bed linen a hairdryer in each room and soap at every basin.

Guests are provided with their own large safe garden which is completely enclosed It is south facing and there is a large outside terrace area and private parking. There are sun loungers to enjoy the south facing garden

Pets are welcome on request for an additional payment.
